And where will the power transmission be placed ? This wind farm proposal is a con - a means of permanently stalling the production of power generation.

Routes for power transmission require the cutting of trees, mass excavation, and the utilization of millions of gallons of petrochemicals in the process of creating a power network. These all go against the grain of the religion of Environmentalism, and will not be tolerated. Who are you trying to fool, with this wind farm crap ?

Groups across the continental USA are succeeding in closing corridors for power transmission. This will just be another one of those Bait-and-Switch routines we have seen so many times in the past.

Enjoy your modern Dark Ages

It doesn't matter what job they perform, people will find something to complain about. I find all sorts of nasty things to complain about in my job too, but I keep doing it, because the nation depends on it. So does my family. As an aircraft mechanic for the major airlines, I work with the worst chemicals and pollutants around . It might take 15 years off my life, but that's a minor issue when I consider my quality of life, and what I have accomplished. I provided for my kids until they could provide for themselves - as have millions of airline personnel and their families before me - thanks to a good job made possible by modern technology and the energy industry.

If you really desire a modern Dark Ages, with its associated hardships and disease( and it apears you do), continue to work your damndest at eliminating coal and oil extraction across the USA. Building a nation took years of hard work, creativity, resourcefulness, risk, and ingenuity by average folks with families, dreams, and aspirations like yourselves. Tearing this country down will take only a few decades of destructive, misguided protectionism. But in the face of your combined efforts, the USA's future doesn't stand a chance.

Good Luck.

Hey, Mountainsaver...I really enjoyed reading your stuff! I'm down here in Tennessee near Zeb Mountain...what you guys up there say about your experiences with MTR is really helpful...we want to stop MTR before Tennessee gets hit like KY, WV and VA, but it's hard to get people excited about it until we tell them about your experiences and show them pictures from up in your neck of the woods. So keep it up, buddy!

You know when you fuck the mountains you fuck the water and the people who depend on it. You fuck the air, you fuck the soil, you basically fuck yourself. How smart do you have to be to figure this out? Fucking yourself and your kids and your grandkids for a living must suck...
The coal barrons have turned our neighbors into our enemies all the while they are laughing at us all as they rob us blind and poison Southern WV. Mountaintop removal is nothing more than orgainzed crime and anyone who participates at any level is a criminal. The poeple that the industry has labeled as environmentalist is better known as the citizens that live in the hell that jobs have created. What about this for an idea... We save coal river mountain erect wind mills on it power 150 THOUSAND homes supply at most 200 jobs at least 50 jobs FOREVER as long as the wind blows. Retrain workers on MTR sites to do this work. Then you can have a job we can have power and our children can have a future in these mountains that jobs have FUCKED!

BY TAKING A MOUNTAIN YOU DESTROY PEOPLE'S LIVES. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WE'RE NOT WILLING TO SACRAFICE, AND ARE WILLING TO FIGHT AND DIE FOR. WHETHER THE COAL WHORES LIKE IT OR NOT, MOUNTAINTOP REMOVAL IS COMING TO AN END. SO IF YOU ARE A SURFACE MINER, GET READY TO GO UNDERGROUND TO WORK. THESE ARE THE TRUE COAL MINERS.
